BeyondTrust On-Demand Remote Access

This guide will enable a Teammate to share a link for On-Demand Remote Access to a device within the NSBB network via BeyondTrust.

The Teammate will essentially be sharing a screen session with the remote user and will be able to choose whether the remote user can only view the session, can control the session, or can also perform file transfers with the host.

Teammate Actions

Login to BeyondTrust at the following URL: BeyondTrust Privileged Remote Access Login (nucorservices.com)
1. Use SAML Authentication to login with your Nucor user credentials
Launch the Desktop Access Console
A file will be downloaded, open the file and the BeyondTrust Desktop Access Console will load
When the Desktop Access Console loads, a list of jump hosts will be displayed - locate the host you wish to share a connection to and double-click to establish a connection
Enter the appropriate credentials to connect with the host, this may be a local account on the device or Nucor AD credentials depending on the host
When the host connection loads, mouse over the arrow on the right side of the session to expand the sidebar
On the top of the sidebar, press the button with the Green Plus icon and invite an external user
When the new dialog loads, enter the user's full name and share some comments regarding the context of the connection - there are three policies of access:
1. View Only, View and Control, View and Control with File Transfer
Press OK, then select the option to share a link
When the access invitation is created, press the orange clipboard button to copy the URL - this can be shared with the partner who needs access to the host

Partner/Support Actions

When the link sent from the Nucor Teammate is received, navigate to the URL
Select an appropriate access method, typically the Web Access Console is sufficient
The remote connection session should be established
